Asphalt and Gravel Specification

Compton Verney House

Works involved careful and sympathetic engineering to main forecourt, with two central drainage outlets and a specialist Asphalt Surface Course laid with a Gravel finish.

Asphalt and Gravel combining to reduce movement under traffic. Site completed under strict Health and Safety procedures to ensure minimum disruption to public visitors.

The Croft Preparatory School, Stratford-upon-Avon

Working within a set time-scale, construction involved a large Concrete Section Soak-away (Seen in Civils Section).

Followed by a Machine Laid 10mm Ultiphalt HD 50PEN, a specialist stone mastic asphalt designed for long term performance.
Area: 2400sqm.
Completed with Thermoplastic Marking.

Permeable Block Paving in Gailey Common

Symonds and Newey Ltd

Full 350-400mm Build construction to include contrasting Grey and Blue Charcon Infilta Permeable Paving. A tough, hard wearing permeable block conforming to Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS).

Final phase construction which involved pumping 140 cubic metres of C35 Ready Mix Concrete for Ten Luxury Park Home foundations.

Included all drainage and utility connections plus 425msq of 80mm Omega Block Paving. Site kept fully open for existing residents during planned works.

Resin Bound Gravel laid at 18-20mm on fully constructed open texture tarmacadam sub-base. Full choice of colour and design.

We would never advise a client to overlay an existing Tarmac driveway as Resin Bound is permeable and your old drive will almost certainly not be!

Supply, spray, dress, roll and complete single surface dressing using a 6mm Granite Aggregate with a K170 intermediate binder to BS.EN 12272-1.
